The York University Lions went 1-1 over the weekend. They played a double header with Lakeland and won the first game on Friday 4-2. The Lions followed that up with a 5-3 loss on Saturday. Brett Miller was in the lineup for both games but was unable to find his way onto the score sheet.
The UAA Seawolves lost both their game this weekend. On Friday a close 4-3 loss. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are ranked #1 in NCAA Div 1 hockey and they scored two late power play goals to come from behind and beat the Seawolves. Blake Tatchell had an assists in the loss. The Gophers then skated to a more lopsided 7-1 win on Saturday. Tatchell is tied for his team’s lead in scoring with 12 points in 20 games played.
And former North Stars D man Mitch Berg was in the lineup for Rosthern in the Fort Carlton Hockey League. Berg is playing senior hockey alongside another former North Star Brock Harrison.
